Falls Church, VA, January 25, 2024 – The Smart Development Institute (SDI) is excited to announce a new initiative, the High School Real-world Internship, Specialization, and Education (HighRISE) Program for Junior and Senior High School Students.   HighRISE Program aims to provide practical and hands-on training for high school students interested in pursuing a career in Information Technology, Data Sciences, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programs.  

This paper aims to understand human capital and the human element challenges faced by mariners or Global Maritime Professionals (GMPs). It explores how to leverage Digital Technology and perform Transformational Changes in the maritime industry to foster Triple Helix (public, private, and academic sectors) collaboration, promote Digital Inclusion, and explore the use of a One-Stop Mobile App to act as a centralized hub for information services and support.
